This book is wonderfully put together. It has colorful pictures of baby animals: farm animals, puppies, kittens, bunnies, and it talks about concepts like hatching out of eggs and noises baby animals make. I bought this for my daughter when she was 5 months old. At that time we just flipped through the pages and looked at all the beautiful pictures of the animals. As she has gotten older, we read more and more of the text. It's a long book, so we still don't read every page to her, but it's definitely the kind of book that can hold a child's interest for a while. My daughter is now 21 months old, and she loves to flip through on her own and point out all the animals she knows. I can see this book still being interesting to her a year from now. Also, this book has held up well to many readings and love.
