They Call Me Creature is the fifth book in the Nightmare Room series and in this volume we join Laura Atkins animal love and nature enthusiast on a horrifying journey into animal experimentation with a strange twist you can only get esque twists, there's actually a bit of atmosphere and well, with suspension of belief, the events are actually scary. I give it four stars. They Call Me Creature is a solid horror story that delivers chills!

When Laura's parents divorced five years ago and her mother moved to Chicago, Laura decided to remain with her father, where she could be close to the woods she loved. But Laura's beloved home is changing in terrifying ways. Her father has become strangely distant, and spends most of his time in a locked-up old shed. The wildlife in the woods is acting strangely, as if disturbed and she makes the mistake of deciding to investigate. But Laura will soon learn that sometimes it's better to mind your own business - and she may pay be forced to pay the price of her nosiness with her own life. Because the truth she uncovers is one that someone will kill to keep buried.

The sixth book in the nightmare room series is not as good as dear diary i'm dead. But the story is yet the best one in the series. I think r. l. stine just didn't handle it as well as i would have expected but it is very good and so is the ending.
