From the Back Cover
From FrontPage to Dreamweaver is specifically written for those FrontPage users who want to make the transition to Dreamweaver as quickly and painlessly as possible. The book includes powerful extensions that will facilitate migration of sites from FrontPage to Dreamweaver. Author Joseph Lowery is one of the most highly regarded members of the Dreamweaver community, and the CD includes a segment from the Macromedia-authorized video training on how to go from FrontPage to Dreamweaver.

Take a look at the specs of this book before you purchase: Amazon says it's 9"x6" and 168 pages. If you'll think about that, it's quite small, and the 168 page count includes 42 pages of glossary, index, and front matter. A scant 125 small pages of content, and all of it very introductory (nothing on databases, for instance). Some examples: "Creating an E-mail Link," "Cutting and Pasting Text into Dreamweaver," "Entering Basic Text," ....
I've developed several sites in FrontPage, and this book is of little value to current FrontPage users. Given the title, I was expecting something along the lines of "If you do X in FrontPage, do Y in Dreamweaver to accomplish the same task." Nowhere near: the only thing close is a 16-entry, one-page "jargon guide" on the inside back cover.
The included CD-ROM is completely bogus: it's actually a video capture of screen shots accompanied ROM content you must download an IE add-on, plus the video content only includes about the first two and a half chapters of the book; the balance of the content is offered to you in the "Platinum Edition" for the truly amazing sale price...
You should be able to glean all this information from the Dreamweaver tutorial. Save your money, buy one of the guy's complete books instead (Dreamweaver 4 Bible, for instance).
Why the two-star rating? The author offers to answer readers' e-mailed questions. That's worth something....
